Fix-Her, Up-Yours

Leadership and Coaching is one of the most rewarding and challenging things in life when you’re fully invested. I have found myself in leadership because I am not afraid to stand alone. I am ok with not always being the favorite because I made a tough decision and saw a bigger picture. I have learned quite a lot in the last two years as I coach and lead. I have learned that some people will only get satisfaction if they see you failing. If you’re not failing, they will make stuff up and spread it around to make other people think that you are failing.

Yes, this happen to me and for most of you it happens to you too if you are in leadership. In those moments I would usually polish my boxing gloves and go to war… I would hear stuff and go straight to the source and try to win the conversation. But in 2019 its time to hang up the boxing gloves and pick up the mussel. One of my bosses recently encouraged me and supported me with this, “Don’t go into a conversation trying to win”. It really stuck with me because so many times in life the people around me like to see me get rowed up. They usually fuel the fire instead of helping me put It out. I have realized that the Fix-Her, Up-yours way isn’t the healthiest and Godliest. I am grateful I have a boss to point me to the cross and humble me.

That same week my boss encouraged me, my Pastor encouraged the church to let God fight our battles. He knows and sees you, he knows your heart, he sees all the good that you are doing. My pastor said, “God is a warrior, he fights for his people”. Ya’ll, let Jesus wear those Everlast boxing gloves because I can tell you right now, he will make them look better than we ever could. For every person that is trying to burn your house down, there is 10 more holding buckets of water putting it out. Like me, don’t zone in on that one thing, one person, one issue because you will miss out on the people that are there to enjoy life with you.

Exodus 14:14

The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silentexodus 1414.”

Hand over the gloves, put on the mussel.

XOXO,

KMA

  1. Baby Girl,

You are a fighter! A beautiful one at that! I love that you know that truly it is the Lord who fights our battles. Ephesians 6:12 (ESV)

12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

I pray you always know Greg and I ARE. ON. YOUR. TEAM! We want to work together to be stronger together. To love better. To show more forgiveness. To be better givers. To care for others. And ultimately to represent Christ better – together.

We are proud of you for putting down the boxing gloves that will have no lasting value and standing up for TRUTH and loyalty and virtue. We are not in the “ring” with you but we are your cheerleaders on the front row!

We are so proud of YOU! We love you like we birthed you! (speaking of, we are praying for you, Drew, Pea and our new little baby bird!)

Sleep well my Fowa! xo jp
